Refund policy

Last updated 24 August 2026

This policy applies to all orders placed at Knit & Loom. It sits alongside your statutory rights as a consumer and does not limit them.

1. YOUR RIGHT TO CANCEL

You may cancel your order and return your items for any reason within 14 days of the day you, or someone you nominate, receives the goods. Where an order is delivered in several parts, the period runs from the day the last item arrives.

To cancel, you must tell us in writing at kontakt@knitloomwear.com before the 14 days expire. Please include your order number and the items concerned. Simply refusing or returning a parcel without notifying us first may delay processing.

Once you have told us, you must send the items back within 14 days of that notification. Returns received after this period may be refused.

2. COST OF RETURNING ITEMS

You are responsible for the cost of returning items to us. We do not provide prepaid return labels and we do not reimburse return postage, customs charges or handling fees incurred on a return.

You bear the risk for the goods until they reach us. We strongly recommend a tracked service and keeping your proof of postage. We cannot refund items that do not arrive.

3. CONDITION OF RETURNED ITEMS

You are welcome to examine and try on an item as you would in a shop. You are, however, liable for any reduction in the value of the goods resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.

Where an item comes back worn beyond a fitting, washed, altered, scented, marked, damaged, or without its tags or original packaging, we will assess the reduction in value and deduct a corresponding amount from your refund. In cases where the item can no longer be sold, that deduction may be the full purchase price.

4. REFUNDS

We will refund the price you paid for the returned items to your original payment method.

We may withhold the refund until we have received the goods back and inspected them, or until you supply evidence that you have sent them, whichever is earlier. Once approved, refunds are issued within 14 days. The time it then takes to appear on your statement depends on your bank or card issuer and is outside our control.

All refunds are made in Swedish kronor (SEK) for the amount originally charged. We are not responsible for differences arising from exchange-rate movements or from fees charged by your bank or payment provider.

5. ITEMS THAT CANNOT BE RETURNED

The right of cancellation does not apply to goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised, to sealed goods unsuitable for return for reasons of health protection or hygiene where the seal has been broken after delivery, or to gift cards.

6. FAULTY OR INCORRECT ITEMS

If an item arrives faulty, damaged or not as ordered, contact us at kontakt@knitloomwear.com with your order number and clear photographs, and do so within a reasonable time of discovering the problem. We will put it right in accordance with the Swedish Consumer Sales Act (konsumentköplagen), which gives you three years from delivery to notify us of an original defect.

Damage caused by normal wear and tear, by accident, or by care that departs from the instructions on the garment label is not a fault. Knitwear naturally relaxes, pills and softens with wear; this is a property of the fibre and not a defect.

7. EXCHANGES

We do not operate a direct exchange service. If you want a different colour or size, return the original item under this policy and place a new order.

8. COMPLAINTS AND DISPUTES

Please write to us first at kontakt@knitloomwear.com — most matters are resolved quickly. If we cannot reach agreement, you may refer the matter to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (Allmänna reklamationsnämnden, Box 174, 101 23 Stockholm, arn.se). We follow ARN's recommendations. Consumers resident elsewhere in the EU may contact their national European Consumer Centre.
